December Limpopo road death toll at 36
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
The Department of Transport in Limpopo says 36 people have died on Limpopo roads since the beginning of December.

Spokesperson Matome Moremi says the number is lower than in 2016.
"As things stand, we have about 36 fatalities. The number is lower than 2016 - at this time we had about 57. But we are not proud as the number is still high," says Moremi.
He has advised motorists to be careful this festive season.
"We continue to call onto our motorists to drive within the speed limit. When we assess the cause of the accidents, one is reckless driving, the other is a pedestrian walking in the area of Vhembe and also the issue of drinking and driving. We will arrest anyone found drinking and driving," says Moremi.
