The decomposed body of an unidentified man was found by the police at the Monte Casino parking area on Sunday.
Police say the body was found in the boot of a car that had been parked there since Friday.
"The body was found by security guards who then called the police to the scene." said Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.
Police say that at the moment the identity of the man is unknown but the car's registration was checked and it is not listed as a stolen vehicle.
By late Sunday afternoon it was not clear who brought the car into the parking bay and police are still investigating.
