Demi-Leigh sparkles at Golden Globes
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Newly-crowned Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Pieters and the country's first winner, Margaret Gardiner, came out in full support against sexual harassment at the 75th Golden Globe Awards.

The two women, the only South Africans ever to be crowned Miss Universe, attended the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Nel-Pieters and Gardiner joined major Hollywood celebrities wearing black to honour victims of sexual harassment.
The Golden Globes marked the first awards ceremony since the industry was hit by claims of sexual misconduct.

Nel-Pieters wrote on Instragram that she's "proud to stand in solidarity with women all over the world that have ever been affected by any form of inequality or abuse".
The social media movement, #MeToo, saw millions share their stories of sexual abuse and sprung up in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein.
Gardiner, crowned in 1978 as South Africa's first Miss Universe, joined Nel-Pieters in wearing black on the red carpet.
