This forms part of a prelude to the Youth Career Expo to be held in Soweto on February 20.
The interaction with youth leaders is also aimed to get an understanding of the problems facing young people so as to initiate sustainable interventions to mitigate these, the department said in a statement
“As part of his monitoring responsibilities, deputy minister Manamela will also assess the quality of service delivery of facilities that render services to young people.”
Manamela would also be able to “share this experience” with two matriculants who would shadow him and learn more about the work done in advancing youth development.
Manamela would be accompanied by Deputy Social Development Minister Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu and National Youth Development Agency chairman Yershen Pillay, the department said.
