DEVELOPING: 73 injured after bus crash
Paramedics are on the scene along the M1 Higginson Highway in Chatsworth, KZN, where a bus overturned and crashed down an embankment.
Rescue workers are extracting people from the wreckage of the bus.
Reports indicate that two people have died.
According to paramedica two people are trapped in the bus while workers are using the Jaws of Life to free them.
Paramedics are attending to 73 people with injuries ranging from minor to moderate at this time.
A triage station has been erected on the scene to assess and treat all the patients," ER24 said.
According to NetCare 911 an emergency helicopter has also been dispatched.
