Ditebogo Phalane: Alleged killers backtrack on decision to abandon bail
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
The three men charged with the murder of five-year-old Ditebogo Phalane are now seeking bail after initially abandoning their application.

It’s alleged Elia Moeko, Ali Sithole, and NIdo Gumbe shot the little boy outside his Soshanguve home in May during a botched hijacking. His father was returning home at the time.
The trio were arrested two weeks after Phalane’s death and charged with murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Following their decision to abandon bail in the Pretoria Magistrates Court, the case was postponed to 27 August 2024.
At the time, the National Prosecuting Authority revealed that Gumbe, a Mozambican national, would face an additional charge as he was in the country illegally.
It was also revealed that all three suspects have pending cases against them in different courts.
