Police rescue Free State couple following kidnapping

Four suspects have been arrested in Gauteng after police rescued a pastor and his wife who were reported missing.
Pastor Phillip Mashudu and his wife Elsie Matlou Mashudu were travelling to Parys in the Free State on Friday to attend a church conference when they were kidnapped between Heilbron and Sasolburg.
The couple wa found unharmed in Everton last night.
Police spokesperson Motantsi Makhele said the couple were tracked down following a successful investigation.
"A provincial task team was established and worked around the clock with their counterparts to follow up on all leads. The couple's vehicle was found in Sebokeng on Sunday, but they were nowhere to be found”,
"The team left no stone unturned while searching and tracing the couple and last night a breakthrough was made that led to the arrest of three people in Sharpville. Further investigation by the team led to a house in Everton where a fourth suspect was arrested. Police confiscated several bank cards at the address, as well as a substantial amount of cash and a toy gun". said Makhele.
