Don't stay captured - speak out, asks the Commission
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
The Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture has pleaded to the general public to come forward with information about those implicated in state capture.

Chairperson Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has called on anyone with evidence of state capture to share it with authorities.
"The Commission hereby invites any member of the public who has information or evidence concerning allegations of state capture, corruption or fraud in the public sector including organs of state and any other allegations that fall within the terms of reference of the Commission to provide that information or evidence to the Commission," reads the statement.
In June, Zondo confirmed that it will hold its first hearings in August.
Zondo said that witnesses had been identified and the Commission was also in the process of collecting all the records from governmental departments of those implicated in state capture allegations at state-owned enterprises.
Various channels have been made available to submit the information and if required, the contributor can withhold his/her identity.
The time frame for hearings has been set for 6 months, but Zondo did say that he will seek an extension of at least 18 months to ensure a thorough investigation into state capture.
