Dr Nandipha Magudumana and two of her co-accused will remain behind bars until their next court appearance in May.
Magudumana, her father Zolile Sekeleni, IT expert Teboho Lipholo and dismissed G4S employee Senohe Matsoara all appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Monday.
The four are linked to the escape of convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester in May last year.
State Prosecutor Sello Matlhoko requested Magudumana to show her face, which she covered with a facemask and hoodie up until now.
It was the first time since her and Bester’s arrest in Tanzania that Magudumana revealed her face.
Magistrate Mohlolo Khabisi granted R10 000 bail to Sekeleni.
“You are in custody, you are admitted to a bail of R10 000 on conditions that you report yourself once in a week at Port Edward Police Station, anytime of the week between the hours of eight in the morning and four in the afternoon.
“You are further warned to come back to this court at half past eight in the morning and remain in attendance on the 16th of May, failure to adhere to the conditions set out by this court will lead to a warrant of arrest being issued against you and your bail may be cancelled and be kept in custody,” said Khabisi.
Matsoara, Lipholo and Magudumana will appear in the same court on 3 and 4 May for a formal bail application.
