Preshalin Naidoo, who was dressed in a grey trench coat and jeans, was flanked by his family while in court.

The culpable homicide case against him was postponed to July 23 to give Naidoo time to brief his lawyer.

In addition to the culpable homicide charge, Naidoo also faces charges of reckless and negligent driving.

On January 31, Naidoo’s collided with Mhere in Johannesburg.

It’s alleged Naidoo had taken the Willian Nicol Drive off ramp from the N1 in Fourways when he crossed over the middle island and crashed into the side of Mhere’s vehicle.

Mhere and his passenger Kady-Shay O’Brian were declared dead on the scene, while his father sustained minor injuries.
