This comes after reports suggested that Myeni has been appointed as an aviation expect in a sinister effort to move the SAA from National Tresury to the Transport Ministry.

However, Transport Ministry spokesperson, Ishmael Mnisi says Myeni has been appointed as an advisor on all transport related matters, but because of her expertise in aviation, her industry knowledge will be of experiential value in the department.

''Given the background of Ms Dudu Myeni particularly on aviation, we think that she will come in very handy in advising the Minister on various aviation matters''.

Meanwhile, the DA's Alf Lees says it's clear that when Myeni left SAA, her comrades put plans in place to continue the looting of the national carrier with the generation of her new appointment.

Lees says Myeni's latest appointment shouldn't be taken lightly.

''What is really disturbing is that Myeni has been appointed as an aviation expect in alignment with new plans to move the SAA from Treasury to Transport where she'll presumably start the meddling that she did before as SAA board chairperson.''

Lees added that this appointment has massive implications, especially because rating agencies are watching South Africa's political and economical climate very closely.

''International rating agencies have warned that they watching state-owned entities, especially SAA that has run at a massive losses of over R20 billion over the last six years''.

Similarly, media reports suggests that the banks are believed to have written to SAA, who've loaned considerable amounts to bail out the parastatal, informing that SAA's possible move to Transport might trigger a recall of their loan.
