Durban N2 crash leaves one dead
Updated | By ANA
A man died when his car left the road and rolled on the N2 North in Durban on Sunday morning, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said paramedics were called to the crash scene at about 9.50am on the N2 North near Spaghetti Junction.
“Reports indicate that the vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned several times. Exact detail to the cause of the crash will remain a subject for police investigation,” he said.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the crumpled remains of the vehicle had come to rest on its wheels. The unrestrained driver, however, was ejected from the car and found at the side of the road.
“Tragically, medics found that the man had died before their arrival due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.
“Netcare would like to encourage drivers and passengers to wear their seat belts, as it will protect them in the case of an accident and reduce the severity of the injuries,” Botha said
