Durban taxi shooting leaves three dead
Updated | By ANA
At least three people were killed in a shooting incident at a Durban taxi rank on Wednesday morning, paramedics said.

Details surrounding the shooting were unclear, and while the police’s Media Centre in Durban confirmed the shooting, it could not immediately provide further details as officers were still on the scene at the Brook Street Taxi rank next to the Berea Road Railway Station.
Garrith Jamieson, spokesman for Rescue Care paramedics, said he was aware that a security guard, a suspect and a commuter had been killed in the shooting.
Speaking from the scene, he said: “Police have arrested lots of suspects and lots of firearms have been recovered, but you will have to speak to the police to get the exact details.”
At least four people are believed to have been taken to hospital, two of whom were gunshot victims and another two are believed to have been commuters who were knocked down by vehicles as they fled the shooting. One of those taken to hospital is believed to have been a suspect in the shooting.
