A man has been jailed for five years by the Butterworth Regional Magistrate's Court for raping a teenage girl, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.
Siyabulela Diza Mabhayi, 38, was sentenced on Wednesday, Captain Jackson Manatha said.
He raped a 14-year-old girl from Tholeni village in April 2013.
"He dragged her to his home where he raped her and promised to give her R50 to silence her."
