Education department to ensure schooling resumes in Vuwani
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The Department of Basic Education says last night's torching of four classrooms at a Vuwani school is a setback to their efforts to get learners back in the classroom.

Learners were expected to return to school for the first time since May following widespread protest action over demarcation in the area.
More than 20 schools were set alight in protest action earlier this year.
The department is adamant its plans will continue to ensure education resumes in the Limpopo town.
"Our plans are working. We are going to be implementing our plans. Our learners are in class and our teachers are teaching. We have a catch-up plan which is in progress. We are cleaning up schools and mobile classrooms have been delivered," he said.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established.
