EFF heading to court over Msimanga motion

The Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) motion of no confidence in Tshwane's Executive Mayor Solly Msimanga has been disallowed.
Council Speaker Katlego Mathebe disallowed the party's motion on procedural grounds.
This prompted the party to walk out of the council sitting.
The EFF's Benjamin Disoloane told the media that the party will not return to council for the African National Congress’ (ANC) motion of no confidence in Msimanga, but would instead head to court.
He is adamant that the party still wants to remove Msimanga as mayor.
"Removing of the mayor is a momentous task, we are saying we are not giving up," says Disoloane.

ANC's Lesego Makhubela doesn’t believe the walkout by the EFF a blow to the party's motion of no confidence.
"This gives us the courage to keep on fighting for service delivery and for things to be done the right way.”
Makhubela says the party came into today's motion of no confidence in the mayor based on their own strength.
"In council, we have 86 members. So we depended on that strength."
