EFF introduces candidates

The Economic Freedom Fighters introduced their list of candidates for the national election to the media in Johannesburg on Monday.
The conference room at the Orion Hotel in Braamfontein was packed to capacity with EFF candidates and the media.
The EFF candidates in attendance included 200 people hoping to go to Parliament if the party garnered enough votes in the May 7 election.
The nine premier candidates were also in attendance, including Floyd Shivambu, Hlengiwe Hlophe, and Dali Mpofu.
The candidates were dressed in the party's usual red T-shirts and berets.
One T-shirt bore the words "Economic Freedom in our lifetime", while another read "radical change".
The members sang struggle songs and danced as media photographed the scene.
"Malema why are they shooting us?", and "Zuma the heat is coming", were some of the lyrics translated.
EFF leader Julius Malema, dressed in blue jeans, an EFF T-shirt, and beret, was cheered as Shivambu introduced him.
Malema smiled and waved at the crowd before joining them in singing the national anthem, led by Hlophe.
The rest of the proceedings were closed to the media.
Malema once presided over the African National Congress Youth League but was expelled by the ANC. Shivambu was the league's spokesman but he was expelled by the league.
