EFF joins chorus slamming Mogoeng for Israel remarks
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has added its voice to those criticising Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng for remarks he made in apparent support of Israel.

The African National Congress (ANC) also earlier expressed concern over the remarks made by Mogoeng during an webinar with the Jerusalem Post.
EFF spokesperson Delisile Ngwenya says Mogoeng’s criticism of the boycotts, divestments and sanctions campaign against Israel is misplaced, as the same tactics were used to defeat apartheid.
"It was the international community that imposed sanctions on apartheid, isolated it in sports, arts, culture bodies, and boycotted all products from South Africa, including products of companies that did not toe the boycott line. This is a fundamental feature of how apartheid South Africa was defeated.
“No one in the world, least the chief justice of a democratic South Africa, must ever revise this important history.”
She adds that South Africans have a duty to side with the oppressed people of the world.
"We have a duty to the world always to take the side of the oppressed. We too required the world to take the side of black people against apartheid.”
