EFF set to be ‘out in full force’ at Catzavelos case
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) will be attend the court appearance of Adam Catzavelos in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Catzavelos is facing a charge of crimen injuria after a video he made while on a beach in Greece went viral.
In the video, he uses the k-word several times and expresses delight at the fact that there were no black people on the beach.
This will be his second appearance.
EFF Gauteng chairperson Mandisa Mashigo says the red berets will be out in full force at court on Thursday.
"We will be at the Randburg Magistrates Court in the morning to observe proceedings between the state against Adam Catzavelos, on the basis on the case of racism which the state suggests should be converted to crimen injuria.
"However we stick to our guns that it is racism against Adam Catzavelos for him calling all Africans the k-word. We want to make sure that the justice process will be efficient because have waited for a very long time for this day to come.”
