EFF set to launch election manifesto
Updated | By Marius van der Walt
The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Julius Malema said the party's election manifesto will be aimed at lifting the majority of South Africans out of poverty.
The EFF will launch its election manifesto at Giant Stadium in Soshanguve on Saturday.
Malema spoke at the EFF gala dinner ahead of manifesto launch on Friday.
He said the manifesto will seek to dismantle White Monopoly Capital.
"The party will launch a manifesto which will outline how we will crush White Monopoly Capital. We are a party that fights for black people and therefor we do not apologise for that."
The EFF has been at the forefront of the fight for land expropriation without compensation and wants the state to own all the land.
The manifesto is also expected to outline the party's plans for special economic zones, job creation, as well as free education and healthcare.
"We do not want to be included in the current arrangement," Malema said. " We want to crush the current arrangement and introduce a competely new system which will benefit the people of South Africa."
