The party will return to the school to protest against alleged racism.

Brackenfell High, in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, hit the headlines after a group of pupils hosted a private matric farewell solely attended by white people.

The school has since distanced itself from the event, saying it was a private affair.

But the EFF's Head of Presidency Sinawo Thambo disagrees, saying pictures of the event were posted on the school's website only to be removed.

"The EFF presence there is to call out firstly the culture of institutionalised racism at the school which has been reported in term the bullying of black students,” says Thambo.

"We are also there to call and demand the removal of the two white teachers and the principal who legitimised the event which is one of segregation and reinforces racism.”

The previous protest by the EFF at the school turned violent when its members we assaulted by a group of parents and members of the community.
