Leader Julius Malema kicks off his visit to the province in Ladysmith on Friday.
Malema is also expected to visit eMpangeni, Pietermartizburg and uMlazi this weekend.
EFF chairperson in KZN, Vukani Ndlovu, says these areas were selected by the EFF based on the demand in the area to have Malema.
Ndlovu says the visit is an opportunity for Malema to engage with communities and is not meant to incite or provoke the ANC in those areas.
''If he had had time he would have visited the entire regions of KwaZulu-Natal, there's serious potential in terms of the EFF.
''We are looking forward into take a lot of municipalities in KwaZulu Natal hence the CIC (Commander in Chief) is here before the August 3 just to listen to the issues of the people because these are community meetings they are not even rallies,'' he said.
