Eight injured in accident - major delays on M1
Eight people have been injured in a taxi accident after a taxi overturned, ripping off its roof this morning.
The accident occurred on the M1 just before the Marlboro turn off.
Netcare 911 spokesperson, Chris Botha, says the taxi hit the barriers and scarped for several meters before it overturned.
"The patients are being stabilised and will be transferred to various hospitals", says Botha.

The accident has severely affected traffic, motorists have been advised to use alternative routes.
