Eight nabbed after robbing diplomat in Pretoria
Gauteng police have arrested a group of eight suspects for robbing a foreign diplomat at an intersection in Pretoria.
The woman was robbed off her handbag and other belongings on Friday.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says the suspects were found with one firearm and three car jammers.
"Police responded swiftly after suspects travelling in a white Toyota Corolla and white Ford Ranger blocked the diplomats vehicle at corner Burnett and Festival in Pretoria at about 14:00.
"Police gave chase and traced four suspects along the N1, while the other four suspects were followed to Ultra City Shell garage in Midrand.
"The suspects are being processed and investigations are underway to determine if they are linked to other armed robberies and car remote jamming incidents."
