Ekurhuleni to welcome festive babies with gifts

It’s the season to be jolly and the City of Ekurhuleni will share in the joy of welcoming Christmas and New Year’s babies at six hospitals around Ekurhuleni.

According to a statement the first three babies born on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day in each of the hospitals will receive essential baby hampers.

 

"The first two babies to be visited in each community health care centres will also receive baby hampers," the statement read.

 

Member of the Mayoral Committee for Health and Social Services, Dorah Mlambo, will preside over the gift handover ceremony.

 

"On Christmas day the City of Ekurhuleni will dispense three baby hampers at the Tembisa Hospital, Bertha Gxowa Hospital in Germiston, and Tambo Memorial hospital in Boksburg, Esangweni Community health Care Centre, Ethafeni Community Health Care Centre, Phola Park Community Health Care Centre and Ramokonopi Health Care Centre."

 

Mlambo will continue with the spirit of giving on New Year’s Day at the following centres:

 

- Thelle Mogoerane Regional hospital

- J.Dumane Community health Care Centre

- Pholosong Hospital in Tsakane

- Far East Rand Hospital in Brakpan

- Kwathema Community Health Care Centre

- Nokuthela Ngwenya Community Health Care Centre

- Phillip Moyo Community Health Centre.
