Emergency workers robbed at gunpoint
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
Johannesburg Emergency services members were robbed while attending to a patient in Alexandra in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The two emergency workers were robbed at gunpoint while attending to a patient.
Johannesburg Emergency Services spokesperson Nana Radebe says the emergency workers were robbed of their personal belongings.
"They were attending to the patient, when two people with guns approached them out of nowhere. Fortunately the patient was left in the back of the ambulance and could be transported safely to hospital" says Radebe.
Radebe says morale is very low amongst emergency workers because of a similar incident that occurred two months ago.
