Emfuleni confirms water contamination in parts of the Vaal
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
The Emfuleni Local Municipality has confirmed that water in Sebokeng Zone 7, Palm Springs and parts of Everton has been contaminated.

The municipality issued a public notice on Saturday to inform residents to take precautionary measures.
Technicians believe the reason for the contamination is a collapsed sewer pipeline.
Emfuleni's Assistant manager Makhosonke Sangweni says water tankers have since been dispatched to the affected areas.
"We advised residents we will immediately switch off the water and provide their councellors with the water tankers schedule.
"We made a commitment that within 48 hours we would've resolved this matter, and our 48 hours ends today (Monda) so we are hoping that our technicians would have now resolved the matter."
