Two suspects have been arrested after they were caught stealing diesel in Mpumalanga.
The two men aged 33 and 42 were caught red-handed, trying to steal the diesel from the Clenco Mine’s pipelines in Ogies.
They are expected in the Ogies Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Mpumalanga Hawks spokesperson Dineo Sekgodi says the two were apprehended by the mine’s security company.
"It is alleged that an employee of Clenco Mine colluded with the diesel truck driver to steal the diesel from the pipelines using the tag of one of the mine tankers which was parked in the workshop," says Sekgodi.
The owner of the truck is implicated in a separate diesel theft case.
