The Thohoyandou High Court in Limpopo has sentenced Enoch Ndou to life imprisonment for the murder of his seven family members.

The 53-year-old man shot and killed his relatives, including four minor children, on Christmas Day in 2021 at Jimmy Jones village near Malamulele.
The court established the motive for the murders was due to disputes over family inheritance.
Judge Thogomelani Tshidada handed down the sentence on Friday.
"The 15-year imprisonment sentences imposed on counts two to seven are to run concurrently with the life imprisonment sentence imposed on count one.
"The accused is therefore sentenced to an effective sentence of life imprisonment.
"The accused is further declared unfit to hold or possess a firearm license, firearm and ammunition in terms of section 103(1) of the firearms control ac," Tshidada said.
Two-year-old Wanga Ndou, four-year-old Ronewa Ndou, eight-year-old Dakalo Makondo, 12-year-old Rendani Ndou, Donald Ndou, Ndivhuwo Ndou and Portia Chauke, all were found with bullets to the head.
Their bodies were found by another family member.
The court also established that Ndou was not mentally challenged and had no prior convictions or demonstrated violent behaviour prior to the murder of his loved ones.
