Limpopo Christmas killer remanded in custody

A 52-year-old man believed to have killed seven of his family members in the early hours of Christmas morning has been remanded in custody.
Azwidohwi Enoch Ndou made a brief appearance at the Malamulele Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The murders sent shockwaves across South Africa on Saturday when the country woke up to the horrific news of the shooting.
At the time, details were sketchy with little known about what sparked the bloodbath that left his two brothers, four children, and a pregnant woman dead at their Jimmy Jones home in Limpopo.
He later handed himself over to law enforcement.
The proceedings on Tuesday offered little more detail except the family’s account that the dispute was due to the man not wanting the children of his late brother to stay in the house of their late father.
Regional spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the matter has been postponed to 5 January for further investigation and legal representation.
The youngest of the victims was a 1-year-old girl.
