In a statement, Eskom says the industry specialists are expected to examine plant unavailability due to scheduled maintenance and operator errors resulting in power plants tripping and shutting down.

The intervention follows financial assistance of R69 billion over three years by government.

Eskom CEO, Phakamani Hadebe is set to facilitate the work done while Tsakani Mthombeni and Ian Morrison have been roped in as coordinators of the team.
