Eskom implements stage 3 load shedding until Thursday
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
Eskom has announced that stage 3 load shedding will continue until 05:00 on Thursday morning.

Power cuts were alternating between stage 3 and 4 over the weekend.
The embattled power utility says the implementation of stage 3 power cuts is due to the sustained generation performance and the recovery of emergency reserves.
"Eskom Power Station General Managers and their teams are working diligently to ensure that the 2 721MW of generating capacity is returned to service by Wednesday," said the utility's spokesperson Daphne Mokoena.
"Planned outages which are implemented to improve the reliability of the generation fleet are currently at 8 843MW whilst unplanned outages are at 13 981MW of generating capacity.
"Eskom will continue to monitor the power system closely and communicate should any significant changes occur."
