Eskom: No load shedding expected on Tuesday
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Embattled
state power utility Eskom is not expecting to implement any load shedding on
Tuesday.
On Monday, Eskom announced the possibility of load shedding.
This came after some of its power stations went offline for scheduled maintenance work, while others went offline for unscheduled maintenance work.
Eskom's Khulu Phasiwe says some of the stations are back online.
"Currently the power system is stable we do not foresee any problems going into the evening.”
Phasiwe adds diesel generators are on standby in case there is a high demand for electricity during the evening peak.
