Eskom: No loadshedding this Monday morning
Eskom has announced that there were no plans to implement loadshedding on Monday morning as it had adequate generating capacity to meet the demand in electricity.
“However, the power system is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period (5-9pm), mainly as a result of increased electricity demand.”
Eskom urged electricity users to consider energy efficient ways of keeping warm.
“In winter the electricity demand peaks in the morning and evening as more electricity is used during these times. We appeal to all our customers to continue to reduce their electricity usage throughout the day but to be aware of the need to save more during the peak periods from 6-10am and 5-9pm.” -ANA
