Eskom: No loadshedding this morning
Updated | By sibahle motha
There was no load shedding on Tuesday morning, but Eskom warned of possible load shedding in peak hours.
“The power system is currently stable, and this will enable Eskom to perform maintenance without load shedding,” the power utility said.
“However, the power system is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period (5pm – 9pm) mainly as a result of increased electricity demand.”
Eskom said that with the current cold weather across the country, electricity users should consider energy efficient ways of keeping warm.
Electricity demand in winter peaks in the morning and evening as more electricity was being used, the power utility said.
“We appeal to all our customers to continue to reduce their electricity usage throughout the day but to be aware of the need to save more during the peak periods from 6am to 10am and 5pm to 9pm.” -ANA
