Eskom to ramp-up load shedding to stage 4 on Thursday
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Eskom says it will implement stage 3 load shedding from 5am to 4pm on Thursday which will then be followed by stage 4 power cuts from 4pm to 5am on Friday.

From there stage 3 load shedding will be implemented until 5am on Saturday.
Stage 2 load shedding will be in place on Sunday.
In a statement, the power utility says further breakdowns have reduced to 15 089MW of generating capacity while the generating capacity out of service for planned maintenance has increased to 7 147MW.
Over the past 24 hours a generation unit was returned to service at Duvha Power Station.
In the same period, a generating unit each at Lethabo, Kendal and Kriel power stations were taken offline for repairs.
The delays in returning a unit to service at Hendrina, Medupi and two units at Tutuka power stations have contributed to the capacity constraints.
