Eskom ramps up load shedding to stage 4

Embattled power utility Eskom will implement stage 4 load shedding on Tuesday afternoon.
Stage 4 will kick in at 2pm.
Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says this is due to the loss of additional generation units.

"We have lost 930 mW units at the Koeberg Power Station in Cape Town. There is absolutely no nuclear risk, this is limited to the turbine on the generational side.
"And this has put additional strain on the already strained generation fleet.”
