Eskom implements stage 2 load shedding
Power utility Eskom has announced that it will implement stage 2 load shedding on Thursday.
Spokesperson Dikatso Mothae says the rolling blackout is due to a shortage of capacity.
"The system is highly constrained and as a result we will be loadshedding at stage 2 from 4pm until 11 pm this evening.”
It is still unclear if load shedding will be implemented on Friday and over the weekend.
Mothae says Eskom will hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday afternoon to decide on the way forward.
