Eskom suspends load shedding until Monday afternoon
Updated | By Princess Mahogo
Eskom has announced that load shedding will be suspended until 4pm on Monday.

Thereafter, stage 2 load shedding will resume from 4pm until 5am on Tuesday.
The planned power cuts will be suspended again from 5am on Tuesday until 4pm.
The alternating pattern of suspending loadshedding from 5am until 4pm and implementing Stage 2 loadshedding from 4pm until 5am will be repeated daily until further notice.
Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena attributes this to the return of some generating units to service and the sufficient emergency reserves.
“A further total of 2 200MW of generating capacity is anticipated to be returned to service by Wednesday. Eskom's evening peak demand tonight is 24 849MW. Eskom will communicate should any significant changes occur."
