Farm worker killed in Krugersdorp
Police in Tarlton near Krugersdorp are investigating the murder of a 42-year-old farm worker who was allegedly shot and killed by a farm owner.
The incident happened over the weekend.
According to reports, the farm worker allegedly stole a tractor but police could not confirm this.
"The circumstances of the murder are still unclear but we will be investigating further," says the police's Kay Makhubele.
Makhubele says the farm owner handed himself over to the police and appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrate Court on Monday.
The case has been postponed for bail application and the suspect will remain in police custody.
