FF Plus leader bids Parliament farewell
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The leader of the Freedom Front Plus, Pieter Mulder, has retired from Parliament after serving in the legislature for nearly thirty years.
Mulder, who is one of South Africa's longest-serving lawmakers, worked alongside six presidents.
In his outgoing address Mulder vowed to continue with his work and said he will not "stop being actively involved".
"It does, however, not mean that I am going to stop being actively involved. I believe that I still have a role to play in my community and in various other spheres of society."
Mulder said he plans to spend more time with his family.
