Fire erupts at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital

No casualties were reported after a fire broke out at Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital in Johannesburg on Friday morning.
It's alleged that the fire broke out in the dispensary store where all dry and surgical and medical items including gloves, PPE and catheters are stored.
Gauteng Health spokesperson, Kwara Kekana says the fire has since been contained.

"The Gauteng Department of Health wishes to assure the public that the fire that broke out today at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital’s Special Dispensary Stores has been contained and no casualties have been reported."
Hospital clinical services have not been affected by the incident.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
