Police in Mpumalanga are searching for a group of heavily-armed suspects who robbed the Kwaggafontein police station on Wednesday night.

Police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala says the suspects stole firearms from the officers who were on duty.
“The provincial commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant-General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, has ordered the mobilisation of maximum resources to ensure that those who are behind the attack are immediately brought to book.
“Currently, the investigation is ongoing,” Mohlala said
This is the third police station to be hit in a space of few months.
Robbers have also targeted the police station in Giyani, Limpopo and in Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga recently.
