“The chemical company, Shield Chemicals, caught alight this morning. What is burning inside the building are chemicals such as benzine, alcohol-based materials and other products such as car polish and aerosols.”
The fire was contained by Thursday lunchtime.
“We are busy with the damping down and no causalities are recorded on scene,” says Ntladi.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
