Five bodies found at open-cast mine in North West
Updated | By Selaki Ledwaba
Police have discovered the bodies of five men who have been shot and killed in open open-cast mine in Tlhatlaganyane village, North West.

The provincial police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, says an investigation into the deaths of the men has been launched.
The area has, for a long time, seen official visits from National Portfolio Committees on Police, Home Affairs and Minerals amid complaints of illegal mining activities.
Mokgwabone said the killings could possibly be linked to the rival mining operations.
“A multi-disciplinary team is currently on the scene to gather information and evidence that would not only help unravel the cause of the murders, but also help identify the perpetrators,” he added.
“All clues, leads are going to be investigated, including the identity and reasons for the deceased to be on the site before they were shot and killed.”
