Five children injured in school fire

A fire broke out at a school on Fulton Street in Industria, Johannesburg this afternoon.
According to ER24, five children aged between 13 and 15 suffered minor smoke inhalation.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says fortunately no serious injuries were reported.
"Two of the children were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment, while the remaining patients declined further treatment," says Meiring.
A storeroom caught fire just after 12.00pm.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson Nana Radebe says they are looking into the cause of the fire.
"We have five officers doing preliminary investigations of what has caused the fire," says Radebe.
