Five feared dead after boat capsizes on Vaal

One man drowned and four others are feared dead after a boat capsized on the Vaal River in Vereeniging on Saturday afternoon.
Another man and woman survived the accident with minor injuries.
According to ER24's Ross Cambell, the body of a man in his thirties was recovered at the scene.
"Emergency services declared the man dead on arrival.
"According to one of the survivors, the boat was taking on water when it capsized.”
In another incident in the area, a man and a woman in their forties suffered critical injuries when a jet-ski and a speedboat collided at the Vaal Marina.
"They were both on the speedboat when the incident took place. The patients had been brought to the shore by bystanders on another boat.
"The female patient was found to have suffered a head injury, while the male patient had suffered multiple injuries and both required advanced life support interventions.”
"They were flown by medical helicopter to a private hospital for further care".
Two other people on the speedboat suffered minor injuries, while the man from the jet-ski was unharmed in the incident.

The 57-year-old Lebyane Seroka, who was the station commander of the Groblersdal police station, was shot and killed by an unknown number of suspects in front of his house at Mmaganagobuswa village. According to provincial police spokesperson Motlafelo Mojapelo, the suspects stole Seroka's vehicle and fled the scene.
