Five killed in Pongola crash
Five people died and two were injured in a crash in northern KwaZulu-Natal near Pongola, paramedics said on Sunday.
KwaZulu-Natal provincial emergency medical service (EMS) spokesman Robert McKenzie said the accident happened on the N2 near Pongola late on Saturday night.
Details on the crash were scant and comment could not immediately be obtained from the KwaZulu-Natal Road Traffic Inspectorate.
McKenzie said two people were taken to hospital in a serious condition
