Five nabbed for Polokwane jewellery store robbery
Limpopo police have arrested five suspects linked to a robbery at a jewellery store in Savannah Mall in Polokwane.
The suspects held employees at gun-point before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of jewellery.
"Members of crime intelligence provided information, which was accurately followed up to KwaZulu-Natal in Hilton, in the Pietermaritzburg policing area. The suspects were located and arrested by the team in the evening of Friday," says police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba.
He says some of the stolen items and a getaway car were recovered during the arrests.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court soon.
