Five people killed in another EC mass shooting
Eastern Cape police have launched a manhunt for an unknown number of suspects following the deaths of five people in New Brighton, Gqeberha.
The victims were shot and killed on Tuesday night.
The bodies of the five men were found inside a shack at the Chris Hani informal settlement.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson Majola Nkohli said the motive behind the shooting is unknown.
"On arrival at the scene, police found the bodies of five men with multiple gunshot wounds. The names of the deceased are withheld until a formal identification process is concluded," Nkohli said
This is the third mass shooting in the Eastern Cape in recent weeks following the massacre of 18 people in Lusikisiki and six others in Qumbu.
